General Data Request Information:
- The City of Buffalo will release responsive data according to State and Federal laws.
- The City of Buffalo can charge for copies of the responsive data. You can inspect the responsive data in person for free, upon request and making an appointment during regular business hours.
- If your request is for private data about yourself, attach a valid form of identification (see FAQ for acceptable forms). If your request is for private data about someone else, attach a signed authorization form to release the data to you.
- To attach a document (e.g., detailed explanation of data request, ID, authorization form), you can either attach one after you set up an account or you can attach a document when you reply to an email that will be sent to you after you submit your request. Tennessen Notice:
If you are requesting data about yourself that is private, the information you provide to us related to the data request, including your name, may be considered private data. You are not required to provide private data; however, if you do not provide some private data (e.g., name, proper ID) we may not be able to process your request. Any private data you provide to us may be shared with other data practices contacts to process your data request.
